Program Description

Description

The History of Tea Drinking is an interesting story and in Toni McKeen's opinion, nobody does it better than the British, who brought it to a high level of sophistication. Toni will talk about its arrival in England from China via Portugal, how it became popular, tea drinking customs from around the world, and the special foods that are served with it. The story continues as we take a close look at an American tea company started by a woman, Ruth Bigelow, whose resilience helped her overcome many setbacks. This successful company is now run by a third family generation woman.
