This lecture posits the fact that there is no World War I or World War II.  There is only one conflict, Man's greatest industrialized war, 1914-1922-1931-1945.  This conflict changed the balance of power and saw to the demise of the white, Christian colonial powers of Europe as the determinants of power.  In 1945, there would be a new balance of power, one that favored the two big winners in 1945, the United States and the Soviet Union.  People called it the Cold War, which of course that came to a conclusion by 1991 with the demise of the Soviet Union.  Now who is America's big challenger?  China.  The Great Game never stops, according to Professor Albertson.
