Program Description

Description

What are truly "local" native plants, and what effect do they have on our local pollinators? Join this live webinar with ethnobotanist Sefra Alexandra and Project Lead on The Ecotype Project, and Dina Brewster, Executive Director of CT NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association) and founder of The Hickories farm in Ridgefield, CT, to explore their pollinator health initiative--The Ecotype Project.

This effort is a plant and place based approach to land stewardship and agrarian resilience in the Northeast. Their objective has been to amplify the availability of local organic pollinator plant seed by bringing together strategic partners from botanists and farmers to nurseryman and conservationists in order to fortify this new industry and our ecological corridors.

The collective efforts of this project have made these truly local native plants available to the public.
