This online ARTalk is a presentation via Zoom with artist, author and educator Gene Wisniewski titled: What to Look for When You are Looking at Art. In this talk, Wisniewski will cover basic areas such as composition, subject matter, medium, what school of art is represented and connoisseurship as well as the history and context of works of art as evidenced in many different artworks over time.

Wisniewski received his art education at New York's Academy of Art, The National Academy of Design, The New School and the L'Ecole Albert Vihiers in France. He has exhibited in galleries nationwide, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. He has twenty years' experience teaching and lecturing on visual art and is the author of The Art of Looking at Art which was released by Rowman and Littlefield publishers in October 2020.
