Program Description

Description

Bonnie Figgatt has been a botanical artist for 15 years, initially doing extensive course work in the New York Botanical Garden’s certificate program in botanical art. More recently, she added monotype printmaking to her practice, first studying at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk.

Drawing tends to be exacting and precise; monotype is less controlled and can be unpredictable.  Bonnie has found that alternating between drawing and printmaking refreshes and informs her work.

Bonnie has shown her work in juried and invitational shows at Ridgefield Guild of Artists; Greenwich Art Society; Washington Art Association; Katonah Museum Artists’ Association; Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan; and Loft Artists Association, Stamford.
