Grades K–2Program Description
Description
Students in Grades K-2 are invited to learn more about Gyo Fujikawa, an Asian American children's book author and illustrator who used her drawings to bring comfort and acceptance to others. We'll read the picturebook biography, It Began with a Page, as an introduction to her experiences and accomplishments, then make our own prints inspired by the Japanese Woodblock technique she studied in Japan. Registration is required and opens on April 7, 2025.
Programs like this are supported by the generous donations of our patrons.
