Program Description

Description

Join New York Times best-selling author and veteran journalist Kevin Maney upon the release of his first novel “Red Bottom Line” on Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ridgefield Library.

“Red Bottom Line” weaves fiction with true history to tell the story of an impetuous American looking to make his fortune in Moscow during the early years after the fall of the Soviet Union. He winds up caught between ex-KGB agents and ambitious locals who have their own dreams as the Russian market opens to the West. Anything can – and does – happen, often in quirky and humorous ways.

Maney is the author of nine acclaimed non-fiction book, including the definitive biography of IBM founder Thomas J. Watson Sr., “The Maverick and Machine,” and the IBM history “Making The World Work Better.”  “Red Bottom Line” is based on the author’s first-hand observations while covering this historic period for USA Today in the early 1990s.
